ABOUT US

As an international nonprofit organization, we’re helping underprivileged women of all ages and life circumstances lift themselves out of difficulties from USA to Africa by issuing the capital and training for them to start thriving and setting up sustainable small businesses

We aim to empower and guide women as they work to remove obstacles along the path to success, embrace a new sense of purpose, and become an essential part of the fabric of the local economy.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be one of the world’s go-to providers of economic and personal empowerment resources and support for underprivileged women in the United States of America (USA) and Africa.

We discovered the best way to find ourselves was to lose ourselves in the service of others

What We Care

We help girls who face multiple disadvantages such as low family income, living in remote or underserved locations or who have a disability or belong to a minority ethno-linguistic group. An estimate by UNESCO shows that around the world, 129 million girls are out of school, including 32 million of primary school age, and 97 million of secondary school age.

Our power at House of Thabita to improve the lives of women is a privilege and one that comes with its own sense of obligation. Acting on these powerful feelings of responsibility is a great way to reinforce our own personal values and feel like we’re living in a way that is true to our own ethical beliefs towards under-served and venerable Women.

How We Started

Emmanuela Neba while growing up in Cameroon witnessed firsthand the suffering of underserved and vulnerable women and set as priority to partake in remedying their sufferings once given the means. Moving to the U.S and gaining the means later on, Emmanuela Neba earmarked $10,000.00 to starting up HOUSE OF THABITHA in 2019.

From 2019 with donations, partnerships, and volunteerism, the work has continued with us getting more kids to school, carrying out charitable endeavors and empowering women through entrepreneurial trainings and issuance of capital for start-ups.

Power of sharing

No one became poor by giving…

As the old adage goesit is more blessed to give than to receive” The knowledge that you’re helping others is hugely empowering and the power to improve the lives of others is, to many people, a privilege, and one that comes with its own sense of obligation. Acting on these powerful feelings of responsibility is a great way to reinforce our own personal values and feel like we’re living in a way that is true to our own ethical beliefs.
