EMPOWERING WOMEN AND GIRLS

Women can now be said to have a say in our contemporary world given SDG5 relating the gender equality on the empowerment of all women and girls. At House of Thabitha, our focus is on women and girls and most especially the vulnerable and underprivileged ones.

Empowerment through trainings and workshop

We take on programs organizing trainings and workshops focused on first of all developing the mental capacity of our women and girls relating their potentials inextricably linking feminist ideologies.  Further, we get on with economic, political and social opportunities for women and means to landing each.

Empowerment through Entrepreneurship

At House of Thabitha, entrepreneurial zeal is utmost. Through our various support schemes for women and girls, we engage fully into providing seed capital for professionals stating up their own ventures and also fund petty trade endeavors for the unskilled while through our trainings and workshops they gain a mastery for developing their business in diverse means from bookkeeping to scaling and more.

Empowerment through advocacy

Through the diverse mediums with which we have ascribed both physically and virtually, it is our routine work advocating for the full implementation of SDG5 as we so hold dear. Despite realization of women and girls marginalization politically, economically and socially stemming from neighborhoods, communities, workplaces and more, there is still much to be done to ensure gender equality and the empowerment of all girls and women.

FUNDING PETTY TRADES FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN AND GIRLS

Petty trading is the trend for most women and girls in both rural and urban Africa as it seems the priorities means to earning their own money from time immemorial. Before the SDGs and principally SDG5, women and girls in both rural and urban Africa had very limited opportunities at getting decent jobs thoughtless of being priorities to an education. Most women and girls have always fallback on petty trading and this remains the prime means of survival for the underprivileged.

BUYING OF BASE STARTUP PRODUCTS AND PROVISION OF A BIT HANDY CASH

Most of our petty trades funded beneficiaries get a base of their start products of choice and a bit cash to keep them on with initials in trading.

SUPPORTING UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN THROUGH EDUCATION

Children who face multiple disadvantages such as low family income, living in remote or underserved locations or who have a disability or belong to a minority ethno-linguistic group are one of our primary concerns at House of Thabitha. Understanding how important education is in our contemporary world and the marginalization of the girl child in most underserved and local communities in Africa particularly drives our intervention given critical concerns. With our Supporting Underprivileged Children Through Education program, we get into the field mostly in the suburbs to rural areas of communities from Cameroon principally and other African countries given particular instances.

Most underprivileged families in the rural areas are more concerned on putting food on the table than education given little means. We first intervene in such circumstances by assuring a year round school fees

Support Through Educational Materials

Having a fee is but a first aspect as additional supports abounds. We get on from the fees assurance to ensuring full supply of educational materials as the level might entail, such as uniforms, books, bags, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, calculators etcetera.
